Duties Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental instruments, and ensuring all equipment such as X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and medical imaging devices are ready for procedures. Assist dentists during various treatments including restorative, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry procedures by handing instruments and managing patient comfort. Take and develop X-rays while maintaining proper infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety. Monitor vital signs and assist with medical documentation during appointments when necessary. Support four-handed dentistry practices by working efficiently alongside the dental team to improve workflow and reduce procedure times. Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment adhering to infection control standards and OSHA guidelines. Assist with medical records management and ensure all documentation aligns with HIPAA privacy rules. Qualifications Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English is required to effectively communicate with our diverse patient base. Previous experience in a dental clinic is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for motivated newcomers. Understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control practices, aseptic technique, and medical terminology is highly desirable. Ability to perform X-ray procedures accurately while following safety protocols; certification in X-ray techniques is a plus. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for managing medical records and documentation. Excellent communication skills to provide compassionate patient care in both English and Spanish.
