Duties Prepare treatment rooms with sterilized instruments and materials, maintaining strict infection control and aseptic techniques. Assist dentists during various procedures including endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry by providing chairside support. Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced imaging technology such as 3D scanners, ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols. Manage patient records accurately within Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Monitor vital signs and medical history of patients to ensure safety during dental treatments. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, greeting patients as a dental receptionist, and managing medical documentation. Educate patients on oral health care practices and post-treatment instructions to promote ongoing dental wellness. Qualifications Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with familiarity in general dentistry procedures. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques. Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix; experience with Epic or similar platforms is a plus. Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely while adhering to radiation safety standards. Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices and experience assisting with pediatric patients preferred. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members including dental receptionists and specialists. Certification in dental assisting or relevant training; additional certifications in medical coding or advanced imaging are advantageous.
