Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly in accordance with infection control protocols. Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics, providing chairside support with precision and care. Take dental X-rays using digital imaging technology such as 3D scanners and medical imaging tools, ensuring high-quality images for accurate diagnosis. Manage patient records by updating medical documentation, entering data into EMR (Electronic Medical Records) system Eaglesoft, and ensuring HIPAA compliance for patient privacy. Perform vital signs assessments and monitor patient comfort throughout treatments while maintaining aseptic techniques to prevent infection. Maintain a clean, organized clinic environment by adhering to infection control standards and proper disposal of contaminated materials. Qualifications Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control practices. Proficiency with dental software system Eaglesoft for managing medical records and documentation. Skilled in chairside assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry and providing support during complex procedures like endodontics or prosthodontics. Ability to operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners while following safety protocols. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations, medical terminology, and medical coding to ensure compliance with privacy laws and billing accuracy. Excellent communication skills combined with a positive attitude to foster a welcoming environment for patients of all ages.
