Job Summary We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our growing team in Bethesda, MD. Responsibilities Assist doctors during a wide range of dental procedures, including cosmetic dentistry, implant dentistry, restorative dentistry, endodontics, oral surgery, Invisalign, and sedation dentistry. Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all instruments and materials are properly sterilized and organized before procedures. Provide efficient four-handed chairside assistance while maintaining patient comfort and clinical excellence. Take digital radiographs, CBCT scans, intraoral photographs, and digital impressions/scans. Monitor and document patient information, medical histories, and treatment records accurately within the practice management software. Assist with IV sedation, oral sedation, and nitrous oxide procedures while following all safety and monitoring protocols. Educate patients on treatment plans, post-operative instructions, oral hygiene, and home care recommendations. Maintain OSHA, CDC, and HIPAA compliance standards throughout all clinical operations. Perform sterilization and infection control procedures according to office protocols. Help facilitate same-day dentistry workflows, including CEREC restorations and digital dentistry procedures. Support a positive patient experience by communicating professionally and compassionately with patients and team members. Assist with clinical inventory management and operatory organization. Qualifications Dental Assisting experience preferred. Maryland Dental Radiation Certification required or ability to obtain. Experience with digital radiography and modern dental technology preferred. Familiarity with dental implants, cosmetic dentistry, Invisalign, oral surgery, or sedation dentistry is a plus. Strong understanding of infection control, sterilization protocols, and HIPAA regulations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask and remain organized in a busy clinical environment. Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to exceptional patient care. Current CPR certification preferred.
