Job Summary Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Hygienist and become a vital part of delivering exceptional patient care and promoting oral health. In this role, you will provide comprehensive dental hygiene services, assist with patient assessments, and support the overall efficiency of our dental practice. Your expertise will help ensure a comfortable, safe, and positive experience for every patient while maintaining the highest standards of infection control and documentation. Responsibilities Perform dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to promote optimal oral health. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical history, vital signs, and current dental conditions. Assist the dentist during various procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort. Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays while adhering to proper aseptic techniques and radiation safety protocols. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to foster long-term health habits. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation review in compliance with HIPAA regulations and dental office standards. Support infection control procedures by sterilizing instruments, managing medical records, and ensuring a sterile environment in accordance with OSHA guidelines. Skills Proficient in dental software systems such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix for scheduling, documentation, and record keeping. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical coding, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry. Experience with pediatric dentistry practices and providing care to pediatric patients is highly desirable. Skilled in chairside assisting techniques including medical imaging, patient care, and documentation review. Excellent understanding of infection control protocols, aseptic technique, and sterilization procedures. Ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages while demonstrating empathy and professionalism. Knowledge of EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems to accurately document patient information.
