Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Certified Dental Assistant role based in Miami-Dade County, FL. The Certified Dental Assistant will support the dentist during a wide range of procedures, including preparing treatment rooms, setting up instruments, and assisting chairside throughout examinations and treatments. Responsibilities include taking and preparing dental radiographs, maintaining accurate patient records, and educating patients on proper oral hygiene and post-treatment care. The role also involves sterilizing and organizing instruments, managing inventory of dental supplies, and ensuring strict compliance with infection control and safety protocols. The Certified Dental Assistant will collaborate closely with dentists, hygienists, and administrative team to support efficient patient flow and a positive patient experience. Qualifications Strong clinical support skills in Dental Assisting and Dentistry, with experience assisting during exams, procedures, and restorative treatments. Knowledge of Dental Care and Oral Care best practices, including patient education on hygiene, prevention, and post-treatment instructions. Proficiency in Sterilization protocols and infection control, including instrument processing, operatory disinfection, and adherence to OSHA and CDC guidelines. Current Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent state-recognized dental assisting certification, with any required state radiography and infection control credentials. Experience taking digital x-rays and Ct scan's, maintaining accurate clinical documentation, and using dental practice management or charting software. Strong communication and patient-service skills, with the ability to support patients of diverse backgrounds and needs in a respectful, inclusive manner. Ability to work on-site full time, manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced clinical setting, and collaborate effectively with the dental care team. CPR/BLS certification and prior experience in a general dentistry practice are preferred.
