Position Overview: The Dental Assistant will support the dentist and clinical team during patient procedures, ensure smooth operation of the dental office, and assist with patient care. Youâll play a critical role in maintaining a clean, organized environment while ensuring the comfort and safety of our patients. Key Responsibilities: Assist during Dental Procedures: Prepare patients for treatments, assist the dentist during exams and procedures, and manage instruments and materials. Patient Care: Provide chairside assistance, offer comfort to patients, and explain treatment procedures as needed. X-Rays & Imaging: Take dental radiographs (X-rays) and ensure proper positioning and safety standards are followed. Sterilization & Equipment Maintenance: Clean and sterilize dental instruments and equipment according to infection control standards. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate patient records, document treatment plans, and assist with charting during procedures. Patient Education: Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-treatment care, and follow-up instructions. Administrative Support: Assist with scheduling appointments, managing inventory, and ensuring the dental office is stocked with necessary supplies. Qualifications: Dental Assistant certification or equivalent preferred. Previous dental assisting experience is highly preferred, but new grads are welcome to apply. Proficient in taking radiographs and managing dental equipment. Knowledge of infection control protocols and sterilization techniques. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well with both patients and the dental team. Familiarity with dental office software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) a plus. Ability to stay organized and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
