About the Position This is not a traditional front desk receptionist position. While you'll be the first smiling face our patients see, you'll also play a critical role in patient relationships, practice growth, scheduling excellence, and creating a remarkable patient experience. As our Dental Front Desk Receptionist / New Patient & Hygiene Coordinator, you will serve as the first impression of our practice while helping patients feel welcomed, valued, and cared for from their very first interaction. You will help coordinate new patient experiences, maintain productive hygiene schedules, strengthen patient relationships, and support the continued growth of our practice. Primary ResponsibilitiesWelcome Patients with a Smile Greet patients warmly upon arrival. Create a welcoming and positive environment. Ensure every patient feels valued and cared for. New Patient Experience Respond to prospective patient inquiries. Build rapport with prospective patients. Help convert inquiries into scheduled appointments. Communicate the value of our services and patient experience. Maintain Patient Information Keep patient records accurate and up to date. Collect and verify insurance, medical history, and contact information. Ensure documentation is complete and organized. Appointment Confirmations Confirm appointments via phone, email, and text. Assist with scheduling and rescheduling needs. Help maintain an efficient and productive schedule. Patient Retention & Recare Follow up with patients due for hygiene visits. Encourage ongoing preventive care. Strengthen patient relationships and loyalty. Hygiene Schedule Management Coordinate hygiene schedules to optimize patient flow. Help fill schedule openings proactively. Support practice goals through effective schedule management. Success in This Position Looks Like Patients consistently leave feeling welcomed and cared for. New patient inquiries become scheduled appointments. Hygiene schedules remain productive and organized. Recare patients stay engaged and continue returning for care.
