Dental Hygienist - LAYTON DENTAL - Layton, UT

Job Summary Our beautiful Layton office is looking for an energetic hygienist to join our amazing team. We are looking for someone to work Mondays 7am-1pm and Tuesdays 1pm-7pm. Pay is combination of base pay and commission. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and assessments for patients of all ages, including pediatrics. Take and record vital signs as part of the patient evaluation process. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits. Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures as needed, utilizing knowledge of dental terminology. Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Utilize Dentrix software for patient management and documentation. Ensure all equipment is sterilized and follows infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment. Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and participate in ongoing professional development. Qualifications Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist. Strong knowledge of anatomy related to oral health and dental assisting practices. Familiarity with infection control standards and procedures. Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide compassionate patient care. Experience with pediatric patients. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
