Key Responsibilities Comprehensive Clinical Care: Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, root planing, polishing, and fluoride treatments tailored to individual patient needs. Patient Assessment & Diagnostics: Conduct detailed risk assessments by reviewing medical histories, measuring vital signs, charting periodontal health, and exposing high-quality dental radiographs. Co-Diagnosis & Education: Partner closely with the dentist during exams using four-handed dentistry techniques when needed. Empower patients through clear, compassionate education on oral hygiene practices and elective therapies. Flawless Documentation: Maintain accurate, efficient electronic medical records (EMR) using systems like Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring strict compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical coding standards. Safety & Infection Control: Uphold the highest standards of safety by strictly adhering to infection control and aseptic protocols to keep our patients and team safe. All-Ages Care: Provide a welcoming environment for everyone, utilizing gentle, specialized communication techniques for pediatric patients. Qualifications & Skills Licensure: Active Florida state license as a Dental Hygienist (RDH) in good standing, including current CPR/BLS certification. Experience: A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a general or specialized dental practice is required. Technical Proficiency: Strong hands-on familiarity with dental EMR software (Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or similar) and digital radiography. Clinical Knowledge: Mastery of dental terminology, periodontal charting, anatomy, and modern infection control procedures. Soft Skills: Exceptional interpersonal skills, an energetic and positive attitude, and a gentle clinical touch that puts anxious patients at ease. Experience or comfort with pediatric dentistry is a major plus.
