Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients while ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow in the clinic. This position requires a blend of clinical skills, patient interaction, and administrative support. Duties Assist the dentist during various procedures, including examinations, fillings, and extractions. Prepare and maintain dental instruments and equipment for use. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Record patient medical histories and vital signs accurately. Ensure compliance with aseptic techniques and infection control protocols. Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care. Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records. Manage appointment scheduling and patient follow-ups. Support pediatric dentistry procedures by assisting with child patients in a compassionate manner. Skills Proficiency in dental terminology and understanding of prosthodontics. Experience with medical imaging systems for diagnostic purposes. Knowledge of vital signs monitoring techniques. Familiarity with medical documentation practices to ensure proper record-keeping. Ability to implement aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment. Experience assisting in pediatric dentistry is highly desirable. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and team members. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
