Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will support our dental practitioners in delivering high-quality patient care while ensuring a smooth and efficient operation within the clinic. Responsibilities Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, providing chairside support. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols. Take and develop X-rays, ensuring proper techniques are followed. Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix or Epic software. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow to optimize office efficiency. Assist with administrative tasks as needed, including billing and insurance verification. Stay updated on medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and advancements in dentistry. Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred. Knowledge of prosthodontics, pediatric dentistry, general dentistry, and infection control practices. Familiarity with dental software such as Dentrix or Epic is advantageous. Strong understanding of medical terminology related to dental procedures. Ability to take X-rays safely and effectively. Excellent communication skills to interact with patients of all ages, including pediatrics. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential for managing multiple tasks efficiently.
