Responsibilities : Performing licensed hygiene procedures, educating patients, and management of the nonsurgical periodontal program as directed by the dentist Establish and maintain continued patient care relationships Verify/document patient health history and educate patients about oral hygiene/health/disease as well as procedures and services offered Perform clinical hygiene functions including, but not limited to: exposing/evaluating diagnostic x-rays, taking and recording blood pressure, adult/child prophylaxis, non-surgical periodontal therapy, periodontal charting, and co-assessing possible restorative treatments with the doctor and inputting treatment plans into the patientâs record Determine needs and perform fluoride treatments as needed Maintain instrumentation for dental hygiene treatment by sharpening, sterilizing, and selecting instruments Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Excellent communication skills with patients Honest, ethical, and compassionate Motivated and passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and patient care Requirements and Qualifications Registered Dental Hygienist Licensed in the state of North Carolina Maintain OSHA/HIPAA/BLS certifications as required by law Pay: $38.00 - $52.00 per hour Work Location: In person
