Pediatric Dental Assistant - Gulfshore Pediatric Dentistry - Estero, FL

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our established pediatric dental team. Dental assistants should be well organized with great attention to detail. The ability to adhere to instructions and comply with dental office regulations is essential. Proficiency in providing both direct and indirect patient care is a key requirement. Responsibilities: - Prepare patients for treatments or checkups, ensuring their comfort. - Utilizing x-ray equipment. - Select and set up instruments, equipment, and materials required for procedures. - Sterilize instruments in accordance with regulatory guidelines. - Assist the dentist in chairside procedures. - Start laboratory tasks as directed. - Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions. - Uphold cleanliness and stocking of dental supplies. - Keep accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures. Skills: - Enjoy working with children. - Proficient in computer skills. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Strong attention to detail. - Well-organized and reliable. - High school diploma. - Graduation from a dental assistant school is preferred, but not required. - Proven experience as a dental assistant or knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods is a plus. - Additional certification or training (e.g., EFDA) is an asset. - Thrives in a team environment.
