Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Full-time Dental Hygienist to join our vibrant dental team. Duties Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs, medical histories, and evaluating oral health status Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and comfort Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays, ensuring proper technique and patient safety Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term oral health Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient records, treatment plans, and medical histories using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix Follow infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure a sterile environment in compliance with HIPAA regulations and OSHA standards Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to perform dental hygiene procedures Proven experience in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry settings preferred Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control practices Proficiency with dental office software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly desirable Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently while maintaining excellent patient care and communication skills Familiarity with pediatric dentistry procedures is a plus for working with young patients Knowledge of medical coding, documentation review, vital signs measurement, and medical imaging techniques Excellent interpersonal skills with a passion for delivering compassionate patient care in a team-oriented environment Join us to be part of a dynamic practice where your expertise helps create healthy smiles every day!
