MONDAY-THURSDAY & EVERY OTHER FRIDAY (FULL TIME) Looking for a dental assistant to join our team at Charm City Smiles. Our office has a very supportive and positive atmosphere and great patients. The Dental Assistant must be radiology certified. Assist the Dentist in treating patients, sterilizing and setting up equipment and tools, exposing diagnostic x-rays. Teach patients appropriate oral hygiene to improve or keep up good oral health. Perform some basic office management tasks to uphold organization of appointments and billing. Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) One to two years of training in dental-assisting preferred or equivalent; certification required. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required or ability to obtain certification Knowledge of dental clinic procedures encompassing receiving, routing, and scheduling patients; ordering supplies and for requesting related services Knowledge of the instruments, materials, and standardized dental procedures used in the full variety of treatments provided in general dentistry procedures to make preparations and provide chair-side assistance Working knowledge of taking diagnostic dental radiographs for bony structures of the face Ability to maintain quality, safety, and infection control standards Job Type: Full-time Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Employee discount Paid time off Education: High school or equivalent (Preferred) Experience: Dental Assisting: 1 year (Required) License/Certification: Registered Dental Assistant (Required) X-Ray Certification (Required) Work Location: In person
