Dental Assistant — Fruitland Park, FL Fruitland Park Dentistry | Fruitland Park, Florida (serving the Lady Lake / The Villages area) Employment type: Part-time · Pay: $22–$24/hour, based on experience About the Practice We're a patient-focused general and restorative dental practice in Fruitland Park, serving a wonderful community of adult and retiree patients. Our team takes pride in unhurried, high-quality care — strong restorative dentistry, attentive hygiene visits, and the kind of personal relationships that keep patients coming back for years. We're looking for a dependable, warm Dental Assistant who wants to be part of a stable, well-run office. What You'll Do Assist the dentist chairside during restorative and general procedures (fillings, crowns, bridges, extractions, dentures, and related care) Take and process digital radiographs and intraoral photos Set up and break down operatories; maintain instruments through the full sterilization cycle Manage infection control and OSHA compliance, including autoclave operation and spore-test/biological-indicator logging Take impressions / digital scans and pour or prepare models as needed Prepare and update patient charts in the practice management software (Dentrix experience a plus) Provide pre- and post-operative instructions and help patients feel comfortable and informed Support a smooth daily flow alongside the front desk and hygiene team What We're Looking For Required Florida Dental Radiography certification (or eligibility to obtain promptly) Current CPR / BLS certification Strong chairside assisting skills and four-handed dentistry experience A calm, friendly manner — especially with older adult patients Reliability, attention to detail, and a genuine team mindset Preferred (not required) 1+ years of clinical assisting experience EFDA (Expanded Functions Dental Assistant) or CDA credential Experience with Dentrix and digital radiography/scanning Familiarity with restorative and denture workflows What We Offer Competitive pay: $22–$24/hour Paid time off and paid holidays A supportive, low-drama team and a consistent part-time schedule Schedule: Monday, Tuesday & Thursday, 8:30 AM–4:30 PM Fruitland Park Dentistry is an equal opportunity employer.
