Smile Perfection Dental & Orthodontics is seeking a motivated, dependable, and patient-focused Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is energetic, organized, bilingual (English/Spanish), and passionate about providing exceptional patient care while supporting our doctors in delivering high-quality dentistry. This position requires travel between our Boynton Beach and Royal Palm Beach offices. Requirements Bilingual (English & Spanish) - Required Travel between Boynton Beach and Royal Palm Beach offices - Required Previous dental assisting experience required EFDA certification preferred (or equivalent expanded functions training) Knowledge of dental instruments, sterilization, and infection control Familiarity with digital dental software and computer systems Strong communication and customer service skills Reliable, organized, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment High school diploma required Dental Assistant certification preferred Responsibilities Welcome and escort patients while providing an outstanding patient experience Prepare treatment rooms and patients for procedures Assist the dentist using four-handed dentistry techniques Set up and organize instruments, materials, and equipment for procedures Sterilize instruments and maintain OSHA and CDC infection control standards Take dental radiographs (if certified) Perform expanded functions within Florida regulations Fabricate temporary restorations and perform other expanded duties as permitted Provide post-operative and oral hygiene instructions Perform laboratory duties as assigned Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked operatories Assist with scheduling appointments and treatment coordination as needed Support front office duties and payment collection when necessary Work collaboratively with doctors and team members to ensure efficient patient flow What We're Looking For Positive attitude and professional appearance Excellent attention to detail Compassionate, patient-centered approach Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong organizational and multitasking skills Dependable with excellent attendance Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Paid holidays Paid time off Opportunities for growth and advancement Supportive team environment If you're looking for a long-term career with a growing dental practice that values teamwork and exceptional patient care, we'd love to hear from you!
