Our team works together to provide compassionate, high-quality care in a fun and welcoming environment. We are looking for an energetic, caring, and reliable Dental Assistant to join our team in Richmond, VA. Position Summary The Dental Assistant will support the pediatric dentist and clinical team in delivering outstanding patient care. The ideal candidate is cheerful, team-oriented, and enjoys working with children. Previous experience in pediatric dentistry is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person with a great attitude and strong work ethic. Key Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for dental procedures Assist the dentist during a variety of dental treatments (fillings, cleanings, sealants, etc.) Take digital X-rays and intraoral photos as directed Provide chairside support to ensure efficiency and patient comfort Maintain sterilization and infection control standards Educate children and parents on proper oral hygiene and postoperative care Record patient information and treatment notes accurately in the dental software Ensure a clean, organized, and child-friendly environment Monitor inventory of supplies and assist with ordering as needed Provide excellent communication and reassurance to pediatric patients and their families Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Dental Assistant certification preferred (Virginia Board of Dentistry requirements) X-ray certification required or ability to obtain promptly CPR certification (or willingness to complete training) Experience in a pediatric dental setting is a plus Strong interpersonal skills and a positive, team-based attitude Must love working with children and helping them feel at ease Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly pay based on experience Paid holidays and vacation Uniform allowance Continuing education opportunities Supportive, family-oriented work environment Job Type: Full-time Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour Benefits: Health insurance Paid time off Ability to Commute: Richmond, VA 23227 (Required) Work Location: In person
