Taking X-rays using the Dentrix dental software: As a dental assistant, you will be responsible for capturing X-ray images of patients' teeth and oral structures using advanced software called Dentrix. This technology ensures precise imaging, aiding in accurate diagnoses and treatment planning. Use of Dentrix (such as entering patients into the program, verifying insurance eligibility, making appointments): You'll be proficient in Dentrix software, which involves tasks like inputting patient information, confirming insurance coverage, and scheduling appointments. This ensures smooth administrative operations and effective patient management. Answer phones when necessary: Part of your role will involve being the initial point of contact for patients, addressing inquiries, scheduling appointments, and maintaining clear communication with patients to provide exceptional service. Set up for procedures: You will prepare and organize the treatment area, ensuring all necessary equipment, instruments, and materials are readily available for dental procedures. This ensures efficiency and safety during treatments. Sterilize: Maintaining a sterile and hygienic environment is crucial in a dental office. You will be responsible for properly sterilizing dental instruments and equipment to uphold the highest standards of infection control. X-ray is mandatory (predominant requirement): Proficiency in taking X-rays is a fundamental requirement for this role. Your ability to capture high-quality X-ray images will assist the dentist in diagnosing dental conditions accurately. This schedule provides a consistent and predictable work routine, accommodating both the needs of the dental practice and the availability of the employee.
