Looking for someone to help turnover rooms, take x-rays, sterilize instruments, write notes, bill codes and assist during some procedures Job Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant, where your energy and expertise will directly contribute to providing exceptional patient care. In this vital role, you will support dentists by preparing treatment areas, assisting during procedures, and ensuring a smooth flow of daily operations. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly in accordance with infection control protocols. Assist dentists during various procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry by handing instruments and managing materials efficiently. Take and develop dental X-rays using digital imaging technology Manage patient records by updating medical documentation, medical records, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy. Support the front desk team as a dental receptionist by scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and managing patient flow seamlessly. Conduct vital signs assessments and monitor patient comfort throughout procedures to ensure safety and well-being. Maintain a clean, organized clinic environment following aseptic techniques and infection control standards to uphold the highest levels of hygiene. Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems Assist with medical coding related to dental procedures for insurance claims processing and billing accuracy. Support team efforts in pediatric dentistry by engaging young patients with care and patience, making their experience positive and stress-free. Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is preferred, Familiarity with dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, taking X-rays, and managing dental materials is essential. Knowledge of EMR systems Understanding of HIPAA regulations Experience with infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and anatomy knowledge is crucial for maintaining safety standards. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while supporting multiple procedures simultaneously is highly valued.
