Responsibilities Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques for efficiency and comfort Take and interpret medical imaging such as X-rays while adhering to aseptic techniques and safety protocols Manage electronic health records using EMR systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring accurate documentation review Maintain infection control standards by following HIPAA regulations, sterilization procedures, and proper handling of medical records Monitor patient comfort throughout treatments, providing chairside assistance with dental terminology and procedures Review medical and dental documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory requirements Support pediatric dentistry cases by applying specialized knowledge of pediatrics and child-specific care needs Experience Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist in a general or pediatric dentistry setting is preferred Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly desirable Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and medical coding standards Prior experience in dental office or clinic environments demonstrating proficiency in patient care and documentation review Ability to perform vital signs assessment, medical imaging, and maintain aseptic technique during procedures Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively about oral health habits and treatment plans Join us to make a difference through energetic patient interactions and meticulous clinical care!
