Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant with front office responsibilities to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in dental assisting, including chairside support and infection control, as well as excellent front desk skills such as patient communication and scheduling. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to comprehensive patient care while managing administrative tasks efficiently. Duties Assist dentists during various procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring smooth workflow and patient comfort. Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, maintaining aseptic techniques and infection control standards. Take and develop dental X-rays, including 3D scans when applicable, ensuring accurate medical imaging for diagnosis. Manage patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Dentrix, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations for privacy and security. Handle front office tasks including appointment scheduling, patient check-in/out, insurance verification, and billing procedures. Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment while adhering to infection control protocols and anatomy knowledge standards. Support the dental team with administrative duties such as answering phones, managing correspondence, and coordinating referrals or follow-up appointments. Skills Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including chairside support, medical terminology, and dental terminology. Experience with patient communication via text messages or Dentrix Knowledge of infection control practices, aseptic technique, and sterilization procedures aligned with OSHA standards. Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely and accurately; experience with 3D scanners is a plus. Strong organizational skills for managing both clinical tasks and front desk responsibilities efficiently.
