Yuba City, CA: Experienced Registered Dental Assistant, RDA, Needed, 2 Days Per Week Yuba City Family Dental Group is looking for an experienced Registered Dental Assistant to join our team two days per week . This role is best suited for an RDA who is confident, reliable, self-motivated, and able to step into a busy dental environment without needing constant direction. We are looking for someone who understands clinical flow, works well with different doctor personalities, communicates professionally with patients, and is not afraid to make thoughtful suggestions that help the office run smoother. The right person will be experienced, coachable, patient-focused, and willing to learn how our office operates while also bringing strong chairside skills and a proactive attitude. Position Details Location: Yuba City, CA Schedule: 2 days per week Hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Pay: $25 to $28 per hour, depending on experience Experience Required: Minimum 3 years of dental assisting experience License Required: Active California RDA license What We’re Looking For We are looking for an RDA who can: -Provide strong chairside support during general dental procedures -Prepare treatment rooms and ensure smooth patient flow -Take dental radiographs as allowed under California requirements -Assist with charting, documentation, and clinical notes -Support doctors with exams, restorative procedures, extractions, impressions, scans, -temporaries, and other clinical needs within RDA scope -Maintain proper sterilization, infection control, and OSHA compliance -Turn over rooms efficiently and keep operatories stocked and ready -Communicate clearly and kindly with patients -Help patients feel comfortable, informed, and cared for -Anticipate the doctor’s needs and adjust to different doctor working styles -Work independently while staying aligned with office systems -Identify opportunities to improve back office flow and communicate them professionally -Stay organized during busy clinical days -Support the team without needing to be micromanaged Required Qualifications -Active California Registered Dental Assistant license -Minimum 3 years of dental assisting experience -Current CPR/BLS certification preferred -Strong understanding of infection control and sterilization protocols -Experience taking radiographs -Comfortable assisting with general dentistry procedures -Professional communication with patients, doctors, and team members -Dependable, punctual, and organized -Able to work independently and stay productive -Open to feedback and willing to learn office-specific systems Preferred Qualifications -Experience in a general dental office -Experience with Open Dental or similar dental software -Comfortable with digital X-rays, intraoral scanning, impressions, and temporaries -Strong patient education skills -Ability to help improve clinical systems, room setup, supply flow, and back office efficiency -Experience working with multiple doctors or different clinical styles Who Will Do Well in This Role You will likely be a great fit if you are someone who takes initiative, notices what needs to be done, and follows through.
