Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Take and develop digital radiographs (X-rays) to assist in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, dietary habits, and preventive care strategies. Assist the dentist during examinations, treatments, and procedures to ensure smooth workflow. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records while adhering to all health and safety regulations. Provide post-treatment instructions and answer patient questions to promote ongoing oral health. Ensure the sterilization of dental instruments and maintain a clean, organized treatment area. Qualifications Valid licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist in accordance with state or regional regulations. Proven experience in performing dental cleanings, radiography, and patient education. Strong knowledge of dental hygiene practices, infection control protocols, and safety standards. Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse patient populations. Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a collaborative team. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage patient records accurately.
