Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their oral health is maintained through thorough assessments and treatments. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, patient assessment techniques, and aseptic procedures. Duties Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history reviews and oral examinations. Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing to maintain optimal oral hygiene. Educate patients on proper oral care techniques and the importance of regular dental visits. Manage medical records accurately, ensuring all patient information is up-to-date and compliant with regulations. Utilize dental software systems such as Dentrix and Eaglesoft for scheduling, patient records, and treatment planning. Apply aseptic techniques to ensure a safe and sterile environment during procedures. Collaborate with dentists to develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs. Stay informed about advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies. Qualifications Valid Dental Hygienist license in the state of practice. Strong knowledge of anatomy related to oral health. Familiarity with dental clinic operations and protocols. Proficiency in medical coding related to dental procedures is a plus. Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills for managing medical records. Experience with dental software systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft is preferred. Understanding of dental terminology and practices within the field.
