Permanent Dental Receptionist / Front Desk Job in Memphis, TN

Duties In this role, you'll manage the front office while also guiding patients through their orthodontic treatment journey. Responsibilities include: Greet patients and visitors warmly, answer phones, and manage email Manage patient appointments, confirmations, and rescheduling to optimize daily workflow Communicate with other dental and/or medical offices Verify insurance benefits and present treatment plans and financial options to patients and families Collect payments and process insurance claims Maintain patient electronic health records and ensure HIPAA compliance, as well as adherence to OSHA compliance regulations Coordinate new patient exams, consultations, and follow-up appointments Build rapport with patients and families to support case acceptance and treatment follow-through Answer patient questions regarding various treatment options Help create a welcoming, efficient office environment and support the team by managing office supplies and documentation Experience Previous experience in a dental or orthodontic office is preferred (front desk receptionist, treatment coordination and/or insurance/billing experience a strong plus) but not required Excellent communication and people skills to interact effectively with patients and team members Comfortable discussing treatment costs and financing Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Knowledge of how to use a computer and answer the phone Proficiency with dental practice management software (or willingness to learn ours) A positive, team-oriented attitude and excitement about helping build a new practice High school diploma required; additional certification in dental/orthodontic assisting or coordination is a plus Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour Benefits: Continuing education credits Opportunities for advancement Paid time off Education: High school or equivalent (Required) Ability to Commute: Memphis, TN 38117 (Required) Work Location: In person
