This position requires working at both Stow and Twinsburg locations 2 days a week at each with the same Orthodontics team. Responsibilities The Orthodontic Assistant assists in the performance of quality, caring, clinical procedures by aiding the doctor smoothly during examinations and treatment. Records treatment information on the patient's chart. Obtain X-rays. Prepares all treatment rooms including set-up, decontamination, sterilization of all instruments, cleaning and restocking. Takes scan of patient's mouth. Placement of brackets using proper full-mouth isolation techniques. Placement of clear aligner attachments. Removes arch wires and ligature ties. Check for broken brackets or loose orthodontic bands. Seats adjusted retainers. Performs cementation and removal of orthodontic appliances. Monitors incoming and outgoing lab cases. Trim and smooth essix retainers. Oral hygiene instructions. Post-treatment instructions. Willingness to learn and work with 3D printing and digital dentistry. Qualifications Valid X-ray certificate. The assistant has at least one year of experience in the practice of orthodontic assisting. Business Hours Monday: 9:00 am - 5:30 pm Tuesday: 9:00 am - 5:30 pm Wednesday: 9:00 am - 5:30 pm Thursday: 9:00 am - 5:30 pm Friday: Optional Benefits We offer a wellness bonus for all of our full-time team members.
