The Role

We're seeking a skilled, organized Dental Assistant with front office and insurance experience. This role uniquely combines chairside assisting, insurance coordination, and patient communication—perfect for someone who thrives managing both clinical and administrative responsibilities. Your Responsibilities

Clinical & Chairside

• Provide efficient chairside assisting during cosmetic, implant, and restorative procedures
• Take digital x-rays (CA X-Ray Certification required)
• Perform digital scans and prepare impressions
• Sterilize instruments and prepare operatory rooms following infection control protocols
• Support hygiene appointments and patient flow

Front Office & Insurance Coordination

• Greet patients warmly, verify information, and manage check-in process
• Schedule appointments using Open Dental practice management software
• Verify insurance coverage and submit claims accurately and timely
• Conduct treatment coordination consultations and patient financial discussions
• Maintain accurate, HIPAA-compliant patient records
• Handle phone inquiries and patient communication with professionalism

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of dental office experience
• California X-Ray Certification (required)
• Knowledge of dental insurance verification and claims processing
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills
• Professional, reliable, patient-focused attitude
• Proficiency with practice management software (Open Dental experience is a plus)

Preferred Qualifications

• Spanish bilingual skills
• Experience with cosmetic or implant dentistry
• Dental Assistant certification
