Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Port Allen, LA
GBR Dental Clinic is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our team! This role is centered around maximizing the doctor's time to provide quality dental care to our patients and creating a welcoming, friendly and comforting environment for our patients. Other responsibilities include: Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment for procedures. Chairside assisting of the dentist during examinations and treatments by providing necessary tools as well as record and maintain electronic patient charting Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), impressions, scans as required. Verify patient medical history and allergies. Prepare and measure the correct dosage of sedative medications and document all medications administered; Monitor vital signs and patient comfort throughout procedures. Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the dental office. Maintain a clean, efficient, and caring environment for patients. Administrative tasks such as maintain patient records, manage appointment scheduling, ordering dental supplies and managing inventory We are looking for someone with great communication skills, positive and out-going personality, that is goal-driven and proactive, as well as customer service oriented. Dental assisting experience, EDDA certification or x-ray certification are preferred!
