Dental Hygienist - Complete Dental Care of Jamesburg - Jamesburg, NJ

Job Overview We are a private office seeking a Dental Hygienist for two days a week and two Saturdays a month. Our hours are Mondays from 11 am - 7 pm, Wednesdays from 9 am - 5 pm, Thursdays from 9 am - 4 pm and two Saturdays a month from 9 am - 2 pm. You may choose any two of the weekdays to start, with the potential to add the third weekday as your patient base grows. You will be expected to arrive 15 minutes prior to the start time and are given reasonable time at the end of the day to finish any chart notes and to clean the room. During the week there is a one hour lunch break. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in providing quality oral healthcare to our patients. Your primary responsibilities will include performing patient assessments, conducting medical imaging, and maintaining proper oral health of our patients. Responsibilities - Perform patient assessments to identify oral health conditions - Conduct imaging such as x-rays and intraoral photos - Take wellness scans with our intraoral scanner (iTero) - we will train you if needed - Clean and polish teeth - Perform full mouth periodontal charting - Apply fluoride treatments and sealants - Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized recommendations - Document patient information accurately in electronic health records (Open Dental) Requirements: - Valid state dental hygiene license - Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene - CPR certification - Familiarity with CAD/CAM technology for digital impressions (preferred but not required) - Experience working with pediatric patients (preferred but not required) - Strong communication skills and ability to educate patients effectively - Attention to detail and excellent manual dexterity - Knowledge of vital sign measurements Our team cares strongly about the health and well being of all of our patients.
