Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Grass Valley, CA
Job Summary Oral surgery assistant with x-ray license and at least one year of dental assisting experience. This position is full time 4 day work week, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday are 7:30am - 5pm. Fridays 7:30am-2pm and Wednesday closed. Duties will include: Obtaining a complete medical history from the patient, reviewing pre-op and post-op instructions, obtain digital x-rays including CBCT, assisting the doctor during various oral surgery procedures, etc. Duties Assist dentists chairside during a variety of procedures including restorations, extractions, endodontics, oral surgery, and prosthodontics Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all dental equipment is functioning properly Take X-ray images including CBCT's Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) Perform dental instrument processing and sterilization following infection prevention management policies Support the dental reception team by managing patient scheduling and answering patient inquiries with professionalism Experience Prior experience working in an Oral Surgery office is preferred, but not required Familiarity with dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, dental terminology, dental instrument processing, and dental sterilization procedures Knowledge of dental equipment such as X-ray machines, 3D scanners, dental chairs, and other clinical tools Understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry and oral health conditions Strong communication skills combined with a proactive attitude towards patient care and teamwork Pay: $28.00 - $33.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) Paid sick time Paid time off Work Location: In person
