As a hygiene Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting hygienist during cleanings, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining a clean and organized clinical environment. The Hygiene Assistant's primary role is to provide complete assistance to the hygienists, allowing them to see a full schedule of patients. The Hygiene Assistant main responsibilities will include the following: - Assist the doctors and hygienists in seeing patients - Take x-rays - Review the hygiene schedule and help maintain patient flow throughout the day - Assist patients with updating medical forms - Review patient's charts and anticipate the hygienist's needs prior to patient's arrival. - Set up, prepare and sterilize dental equipment and instrumentation - Monitor schedule and help fill cancellations through quick-fill calls/texts - Provide excellent customer service to help ensure a smooth and efficient visit for the patient - We see children through the age of 20 and are located in Irvington - Hours are 8 am - 5 pm (with an hour built in for lunch) Job Type: Full-time Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Disability insurance Flexible schedule Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Professional development assistance Referral program Retirement plan Tuition reimbursement Vision insurance Experience: Dental clinic: 1 year (Required) License/Certification: Coronal Polish Certificate (Required) X-Ray Certification (Required) Work Location: In person
