Dental Assistant II (DA2) Hourly Pay: $25-28 Position Summary The Dental Assistant II is an experienced clinical team member who provides advanced chairside support, assists with complex procedures, and helps mentor Dental Assistant I team members. This role demonstrates leadership, efficiency, and accountability in daily clinical operations. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Prepare and break down treatment rooms before and after appointments. Escort patients to operatories and review medical history. Assist the doctor during restorative, hygiene, and limited specialty procedures. Take digital radiographs in accordance with state regulations. Take intraoral photos and basic digital scans as directed. Prepare dental materials and instruments. Maintain sterilization and infection control protocols. Stock and organize operatories and clinical supplies. Provide post-operative and oral hygiene instructions. Chart treatment accurately in the practice management software. Support team members to maintain efficient patient flow. Demonstrate proficiency with basic computer functions and office technology. Assist with crown and bridge, implant, oral surgery, and endodontic procedures. Prepare and manage complex treatment appointments efficiently. Take high-quality digital impressions and intraoral scans. Fabricate and adjust temporary restorations. Set up and assist with implant and surgical procedures. Demonstrate proficiency with digital scanners and scanning workflows. Maintain advanced knowledge of dental materials and workflows. Utilize Eaglesoft efficiently for charting, treatment planning, scheduling support, and clinical documentation. Help train and mentor DA1 team members. Assist with onboarding new clinical employees. Monitor inventory and communicate supply needs. Help maintain clinical quality and workflow standards. Troubleshoot equipment issues and report maintenance needs. Support implementation of new clinical protocols. Qualifications Minimum 2 years of dental assisting experience preferred. Radiology certification. CPR certification. Strong understanding of restorative, implant, and specialty procedures. Proficient in Eaglesoft practice management software. Strong computer skills and ability to navigate digital technology efficiently. Experienced with intraoral scanners and digital impression workflows. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
