What You'll Do As a Dental Assistant, you will play an essential role in delivering quality patient care and ensuring the clinical team operates efficiently. Your responsibilities include: Prepare treatment rooms before each patient appointment. Assist the doctor during restorative, cosmetic, implant, oral surgery, periodontal, endodontic, prosthodontic, and emergency procedures. Take digital X-rays and intraoral photographs. Take impressions, fabricate temporary crowns, and assist with laboratory procedures when needed. Prepare instruments, materials, and equipment for dental procedures. Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control protocols in accordance with OSHA and CDC guidelines. Provide patients with pre-operative and post-operative instructions. Accurately document treatment notes and maintain patient records. Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked operatories. Monitor inventory and communicate supply needs. Help create a positive, welcoming experience for every patient. Support the clinical team with additional duties as assigned. QualificationsRequired High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 1 year of dental assisting experience preferred. Current Florida Dental Assistant certification. Current Florida Dental Radiology (X-Ray) certification. Knowledge of OSHA, CDC, and infection control standards. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask. Professional appearance and positive attitude. Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented. Preferred Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus. Experience with Dentrix or similar dental practice management software. Experience assisting with: Dental implants Crown and bridge procedures Oral surgery Periodontal procedures Removable prosthetics Endodontic procedures What We Offer Competitive compensation based on experience.
