Dental Assistant Overview We are seeking a dependable, motivated, and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our growing team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a key role in creating a positive patient experience while supporting the doctor during clinical procedures and helping ensure the office operates efficiently. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms by cleaning, disinfecting, and setting up instruments and materials in accordance with OSHA and CDC infection control guidelines. Assist the dentist during a variety of procedures, including restorative, cosmetic, crown and bridge, extractions, endodontics, removable prosthetics, and emergency treatment. Take high-quality digital radiographs, intraoral photographs, and digital scans as directed. Accurately chart treatment and maintain patient records using the practice management software. Educate patients on oral hygiene, treatment plans, and post-operative instructions. Sterilize and organize instruments while maintaining proper infection control protocols. Monitor inventory levels and help keep operatories fully stocked and organized. Maintain a clean, efficient, and welcoming clinical environment. Assist with scheduling, confirming appointments, and front office duties when needed. Provide exceptional customer service and help ensure every patient has a positive experience from check-in to check-out. Qualifications Previous dental assisting experience preferred. Dental Radiation Certification Current CPR certification preferred. Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and infection control standards. Experience taking digital radiographs and assisting with a variety of dental procedures. Familiarity with dental practice management software such as CareStack, Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or similar systems is preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a team-oriented mindset.
