Overview
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented dental treatment coordinator to join our small, fun, and dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental clinic by providing exceptional support to both patients and dental staff. Our office is a private practice (non corporate affliated), and very patient-focused. We provide excellent customer service and dental care, and a positive patient experience is a must.
This position requires a strong professional work ethic, previous dental experience, reliability, ability to multitask, a basic understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in managing health records and documentation. Additionally, this team member must be positive, outgoing, organized, and willing to work in a team environment to provide exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out processes.
- Communicate with patients via phone/text/email/in-person in a courteous manner.
- Perform daily administrative tasks.
- Review and maintain accurate patient records and medical histories.
- Handle phone calls with professionalism, address patient inquiries and schedule appointments.
- Maintain a productive schedule to optimize patient care
- Accept payments and post them accurately
- Verify dental insurances, calculate estimates, and present treatment plans
- If applicable, - take radiographs, sterilize instruments, and turnover treatment rooms
Requirements
- 2+ years of previous experience in a dental clinic, administrative role, or customer service position preferred
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong phone etiquette skills to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
- Proficiency in using Dentrix or similar dental PMS software is a plus.
- Proficiency in using computers, email, and Microsoft Suites (Word, Excel)
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail to maintain accurate records.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
