Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments according to OSHA and CDC guidelines. Assist the dentist during a variety of procedures, including restorative, crown and bridge, extractions, root canals, and emergency care. Take digital X-rays and intraoral photos. Prepare and maintain dental materials and instruments. Provide patients with post-operative instructions and oral hygiene education. Maintain accurate patient records in Dentrix. Ensure operatories are clean, organized, and fully stocked. Assist with infection control and sterilization protocols. Help create a positive, welcoming experience for every patient. Collaborate with the clinical and administrative team to ensure smooth daily operations. QualificationsRequired Dental Assisting experience preferred (new graduates are welcome to apply). Current North Carolina Dental Assisting certification (or eligibility). X-ray certification. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset. Dependable, punctual, and eager to learn. Preferred Experience with Dentrix. Experience with digital scanners and intraoral cameras. Coronal polishing certification (preferred but not required). Nitrous monitoring certification is a plus.
