Responsibilities Perform a wide range of dental procedures including examinations, cleanings, fillings, extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, and oral surgery. Conduct thorough patient assessments, diagnose dental conditions accurately using medical imaging and dental terminology, and develop effective treatment plans. Utilize dental software such as Practice-Web, XDR, for documentation, scheduling, and medical records management. Maintain strict infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety and comply with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations. Communicate clearly with patients regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and post-treatment care instructions to foster understanding and trust. Collaborate with dental hygienists, assistants, and other healthcare professionals to deliver seamless patient care in a team-oriented environment. Stay current with advancements in dentistry by participating in continuing education related to pediatric dentistry, dental implants, endodontics, oral surgery, and other specialties. Requirements Valid state license to practice dentistry with current certification in anesthesiology and infection control practices. Proven experience in general dentistry with proficiency in dental diagnosis, medical documentation, and client communication. Strong knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, medical imaging techniques, and healthcare diagnosis procedures. Experience performing dental extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics procedures such as crowns and bridges. Ability to perform pediatric dentistry procedures with sensitivity towards young patients. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and state healthcare laws governing patient privacy and medical records management. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to educate patients effectively about their oral health needs.
