Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our team on Thursdays! There will be potential to add more days in the future. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care and be proficient in various dental software systems. This role involves providing high-quality dental hygiene services, educating patients on oral health, and ensuring compliance with safety and infection control protocols. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and assessments for patients of all ages, including pediatric patients. Utilize dental software such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix for patient documentation and record management. Conduct vital signs assessments and maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Assist in chairside procedures, employing four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during treatments. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and the importance of regular dental visits. Maintain a clean and organized work environment following aseptic techniques and infection control protocols. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure optimal patient care and treatment outcomes. Stay updated on dental terminology, medical coding, and advancements in dental hygiene practices. Requirements Valid Dental Hygienist license in the state of practice. Experience in pediatric dentistry is preferred but not mandatory. Proficiency in medical imaging techniques and familiarity with EMR systems is a plus. Strong knowledge of anatomy, dental terminology, and infection control practices. Previous experience in a dental office or clinic setting is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with patients effectively. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills for documentation review and patient assessment.
