Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will support our clinical team by providing exceptional patient care, assisting with various dental procedures, and ensuring smooth daily operations. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and setting up necessary supplies for procedures. Assist dentists during a variety of treatments including restorative, prosthodontic, and endodontic procedures. Perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort. Take and develop dental X-rays while adhering to HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols. Record vital signs and medical history information accurately. Manage patient flow by greeting patients, scheduling appointments, and updating medical records with precision. Educate patients on oral health care instructions post-treatment and ensure understanding of procedures performed. Maintain aseptic techniques throughout all clinical activities to prevent infection transmission. Support administrative duties as needed, including dental reception tasks and managing medical documentation. Stay current with advancements in dental technology such as 3D scanners and medical imaging tools to improve patient outcomes. Experience Prior experience working as a Dental Assistant in a general or pediatric dental practice is preferred. Familiarity with EMR systems like Dentrix is highly desirable. Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards and infection control procedures is essential. Previous exposure to specialized fields such as prosthodontics or endodontics can enhance your ability to support complex procedures.
