Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Oaks, PA
We are seeking a friendly and caring part-time or full-time Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our growing patient-focused dental practice. As part of our team, you will provide top-notch dental care that makes our patients feel like family. The ideal candidate will assist the dentist chariside during restorative procedures and complete additional tasks such as prophylaxis, make provisional, apply sealants and fluoride treatments as needed. This is an excellent opportunity for a hard-working team player with excellent interpersonal and verbal skills who has an ability to interact with all age groups. Schedule: Monday-Thursday 7:45am-5:45pm (2 Fridays per month as needed)
Minimum 3 days a week!
Responsibilities
- Seating and dismissing patients from the treatment rooms while making them feel comfortable.
- Assist the dentist chair-side.
- Take diagnostic quality radiographs & impressions.
- Utilize aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment and ensure patient safety.
- Set-up and breakdown of treatment rooms.
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments.
- Review patitent documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with HIPPA regulations.
- Maintain organization of lab cases and treatment rooms.
- Follow lab cases coming into and leaving the office.
Qualifications
- Valid PA EFDA license.
- Valid PA radiology certification.
- BLS certification.
- Knowledge of Eaglesoft or similar dental management software systems is an advantage.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on patient care and comfort.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Attention to detail & stamina to meet the physical demands of the job (i.e. able to life up to 45 pounds).
- PA regulations require current (within 5 years) criminal background check, child abuse clearance, FBI fingerprinting.
