Permanent Dental Hygienist Job in Hesperia, CA

We are seeking a dedicated and professional Dental Hygienist to join our reputable dental practice. Duties
- Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth using dental equipment and tools.
- Take and develop dental x-rays, ensuring proper technique and patient safety.
- Assess patients’ oral health status through visual examination and vital signs monitoring.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options.
- Assist the dentist during procedures with chairside assisting, including handing instruments and managing medical records.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, treatments, and medical history within Dentrix Ascend systems.
- Ensure infection prevention management by adhering to aseptic techniques and sterilization protocols for dental equipment.
- Review medical records for accurate documentation and coding to support billing processes.
- Communicate effectively with patients of all ages, including pediatric dentistry patients, to foster trust and compliance.
- Uphold HIPAA compliance by maintaining patient confidentiality and managing sensitive medical information securely.
- Support the clinic’s infection control policies to prevent cross-contamination and ensure a safe environment for staff and patients.
Qualifications
- Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current CPR certification.
- Proficiency in dental software for scheduling, documentation review, and EHR management.
- Experience with pediatric dentistry, four-handed dentistry techniques, and dental x-ray procedures preferred.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and healthcare infection prevention practices.
- Familiarity with dental equipment operation, medical imaging technology, and electronic health records (EHR).
- Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients on dental care patient education strategies.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining high standards of patient care.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and confidentiality management.
