Responsibilities Prepare treatment areas with sterilized instruments and materials, ensuring all equipment is ready for procedures. Assist dentists during examinations, cleanings, and complex dental treatments by handing them instruments and managing patient comfort. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), supporting accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Manage patient records using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems, documenting procedures, patient histories, and treatment notes precisely. Provide pre- and post-operative instructions to patients, explaining procedures clearly to promote understanding and comfort. Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed, including sterilization of tools and maintaining a clean clinical environment. Support patient service efforts by communicating effectively, answering questions, and addressing concerns with professionalism and empathy. Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar clinical support role within a healthcare or dental setting. Knowledge of medical terminology, dental procedures, and clinical workflows essential for assisting effectively. Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) or Electronic Medical Records (EMR) management systems. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), with the ability to respond swiftly in emergency situations. Experience with blood sampling, diagnostic radiology, and medical documentation is highly desirable. Strong client communication skills to ensure patients feel comfortable, informed, and cared for throughout their visit. Ability to handle manual tasks such as patient positioning, instrument handling, and maintaining sterile environments efficiently. Prior clinic experience in surgical or plastic surgery settings is a plus, especially if involving acute care or complex procedures.
