We're opening this Fall, and we're looking for a Registered Dental Assistant who wants to help build something special from day one. Job Description We are seeking a motivated, compassionate Registered Dental Assistant to join our team in a dual clinical and patient coordination role. You'll be a key part of ensuring every child who walks through our doors feels comfortable and every family leaves with a smile â while helping our new practice run smoothly behind the scenes. Responsibilities Provide chairside assistance to our pediatric dentist during procedures, including preparing treatment rooms and sterilizing instruments. Take dental radiographs, perform coronal polishing, and apply pit & fissure sealants per your RDA scope of practice. Manage patient scheduling, appointment confirmations, and follow-up communications to keep our patient flow running smoothly. Handle patient registration, insurance verification, and billing with accuracy and attention to detail. Maintain electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with HIPAA regulations and privacy standards. Help families understand treatment plans, financial arrangements, and insurance benefits with warmth and clarity. Support day-to-day administrative tasks, including inventory management, equipment upkeep, and office organization. Help create a calm, kid-friendly environment that puts nervous patients (and parents!) at ease. Pitch in on marketing, community outreach, and other growth initiatives as our practice gets established. Requirements Active California Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license with current certification/authorization for dental radiography, coronal polishing, and pit & fissure sealants. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers. Experience in pediatric dental assisting and/or dental office administration. Comfortable with digital radiography. Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills â especially with children and anxious parents. Working knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and insurance billing practices. Detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable wearing multiple hats at a growing practice. Excited to help shape the culture and systems of a brand-new office.
