Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring cleanliness and sterilization standards are met. Assist dentists during various procedures by handing instruments, suctioning, and managing patient comfort. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring accurate imaging for diagnosis. Manage patient records using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems, documenting treatment details accurately and efficiently. Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices, post-treatment care, and health maintenance strategies. Monitor patient conditions during procedures, reporting any concerns or changes promptly to the dental team. Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and managing medical documentation with precision. Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar clinical support role within a healthcare setting. Knowledge of medical terminology, dental procedures, and diagnostic radiology techniques. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR is required to ensure patient safety during emergencies. Strong skills in electronic health records (EHR/EHR) management and medical documentation practices. Excellent client communication skills with the ability to provide compassionate patient service. Experience with manual handling of dental instruments and equipment in accordance with safety protocols. Additional experience in critical care or acute care environments is a plus, especially if related to plastic surgery or surgery clinics.
