To prosper as a Dental Assistant, you should have: At least 1 year of continuous dental assisting experience or be a recent graduate from an accredited Dental Assisting program, we're excited to help you start your career! Dental Assistant Certification or an Associate's degree in a Dental Assisting program. Strong verbal and written communication skills. A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a passion for providing excellent patient care. More about your role as a Dental Assistant: Prepare patients for dental procedures. Sterilize and disinfect instruments and set up trays. Assist the dentist during procedures, including fillings, cleanings, root canals, extractions, crown and bridge work, and dental implants.
