Join Our Team! Emergency Dental of America is looking for an experienced, compassionate, and dependable Dental Assistant to join our growing team! As a Dental Assistant, you'll play a key role in supporting our providers, ensuring efficient clinical operations, and creating an exceptional experience for every patient. Responsibilities Assist dentists chairside during a variety of procedures, including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, and emergency dentistry. Prepare treatment rooms by ensuring instruments, equipment, and supplies are cleaned, sterilized, and ready for patient care. Follow OSHA, CDC, and company infection control and sterilization protocols. Expose and process digital dental radiographs in accordance with state regulations. Operate dental technology, including digital X-rays, intraoral cameras, and 3D scanners. Take and document patient medical histories and vital signs. Accurately chart treatment notes and maintain patient records in Dentrix or other electronic dental record systems. Present treatment plans and review recommended treatment with patients. Provide post-operative instructions and educate patients on proper oral hygiene. Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked operatories. Work collaboratively with doctors and team members to ensure efficient patient flow and outstanding patient care. Qualifications Minimum 2â5 years of dental assisting experience required. Experience in general dentistry required. Experience with Dentrix or similar dental software preferred. Knowledge of dental terminology, chairside assisting, and infection control procedures. Ability to operate digital X-ray equipment and other dental technology. Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Current X-ray certification and CPR certification preferred, if required by state law.
