Dental Assistant – Full-Time & Part-Time Opportunities Emergency Dental of America – Columbus, OH Emergency Dental of America is seeking experienced and dependable Dental Assistants to join our Columbus team. We currently have three openings: One full-time Dental Assistant available to work weekdays and weekends One part-time Dental Assistant available to work weekdays One part-time Dental Assistant available to work weekends Pay: $23.00–$27.00 per hour, depending on experience. Responsibilities Assist the dentist chairside during a variety of dental procedures. Prepare treatment rooms and ensure instruments and equipment are properly sterilized. Take digital X-rays and accurately document patient information. Present treatment plans to patients in a clear, professional, and compassionate manner. Review recommended treatment, pricing, payment options, and next steps with patients. Answer patient questions and help patients understand the importance of completing recommended treatment. Schedule treatment and support treatment acceptance and office production goals. Provide patients with post-operative instructions and oral hygiene education. Maintain OSHA, infection-control, and sterilization standards. Support efficient patient flow and maintain a clean, organized clinical environment. Provide a positive and reassuring experience for patients receiving emergency dental care. Qualifications Previous dental assisting experience is required. Experience presenting treatment plans and discussing financial options with patients is strongly preferred. Current Ohio dental radiography certification or eligibility to obtain certification. Strong communication, organization, and patient-service skills. Comfortable discussing treatment costs and helping patients move forward with care. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced emergency dental environment. Dependable, professional, and team-oriented. Experience with dental practice-management software is a plus.
