Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Medford, OR

Our work environment includes: Modern office setting The Dental Assistant will be responsible for general clinic administrative work and maintenance, as well as completing lab work under the direction of the dentist. The Dental Assistantâs primary responsibility is to prepare the examination rooms for appointments by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary equipment is ready for the dentist. They also assist the dentist during their procedures by handing them instruments and anticipating their needs throughout the appointment. The Dental Assistant may also be responsible for greeting patients as they arrive, submitting billing details to the insurance company and scheduling the patientâs next appointment before they leave the clinic. Other duties and responsibilities include: Update and maintain clientâs dental records Perform routine dental cleanings and assist the dentist with complex dental procedures Take digital radiographs or X-rays of patients ( X-ray certification required) Schedule patient appointments Take billing and insurance details from patients Advise patients on recommended oral hygiene Qualifications ( ideal but can be on the job trained) Proven experience as a dental assistant with chairside assisting and aseptic technique Knowledge of dental terminology, terminology across general dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics Proficiency with 3D scanners, X-ray imaging, and basic medical/dental documentation Familiarity with HIPAA, EMR systems (e.g., opendental), and four-handed dentistry Ability to prepare treatment areas, assist with diagnostic tests, provide direct patient care, and support pediatric dentistry as needed Strong anatomy/medical terminology background and effective patient counseling skills Pay: $17.50 - $25.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Employee discount Paid sick time Paid time off Profit sharing Medical Specialty: Pediatrics Perioperative Care Radiology Surgery Application Question(s): Are you a fast learning?
